What we collect

When you contact us we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, telephone number and information about the funding you are seeking. If we take your case forward, we will also collect the financial information a lender needs to assess it, such as accounts, bank statements and property details.

How we use it

We use your information to respond to your enquiry, to assess which lenders may be able to help, and to prepare and submit an application on your behalf where you ask us to.

Who we share it with

Where it is necessary to progress your enquiry or your case, we share information with the following categories of recipient: lenders and funders considering your case; packagers, networks or other intermediaries where a case is submitted through them; valuers, surveyors, solicitors and accountants involved in the transaction; and credit reference and fraud prevention agencies where a lender carries out searches.

We also use service providers who process information on our behalf and under our instructions, including our website host, email and document storage providers, and any customer relationship management or e-signature software we use to run the business. They act as our processors, are bound by contract, and may not use your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law or a regulator requires it. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Lawful basis and retention

We process enquiry information on the basis of your consent and, once we are acting for you, on the basis of legitimate interests and the steps necessary to arrange finance at your request. We keep records for as long as we are required to for regulatory and tax purposes, and then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
