About SLL Commercial Finance

SLL Commercial Finance was built on the same side of the table as our clients. Our founder has run trading businesses and invested in property personally, which means the conversation starts with the practical questions — what the money is for, what it needs to do, and what happens next — rather than a product list.

That experience shapes how we broker. We hold relationships with high street banks, challenger banks, specialist lenders, private funders and bridging providers, so the recommendation is based on what suits your circumstances rather than what a single lender happens to offer.

We are based in Ormskirk and know the Southport, Liverpool, Merseyside, Lancashire and Manchester markets well. Our clients, however, are spread across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland — good funding advice does not stop at the county line.

How It Works

Four straightforward stages, with one point of contact throughout.

  1. 01

    A proper conversation

We start with the goal, the timescale and the numbers as they actually are. No forms until we know it is worth your time.

  2. 02

    The right route

We map the realistic options across our lender panel, explain the trade-offs in plain English, and recommend a route with a reason attached.

  3. 03

    A packaged application

We prepare and present the case properly, so the lender sees a credible proposition rather than a pile of documents.

  4. 04

    Through to completion

We manage valuations, solicitors and lender queries, keep you updated, and stay involved until the funds land.

Why Clients Choose Us

  • Founder-led

You deal directly with an experienced broker who has run businesses and bought property personally — not a call centre or a rotating case handler.

  • Outcome first

We understand the goal before we recommend a product. Sometimes that means telling you the deal in front of you is the wrong one.

  • A broad lender panel

High street, challenger, specialist and private lenders, plus funders you will not find on a comparison site.

  • Straightforward communication

Clear answers, quick responses and no jargon. You will always know where your case stands and what happens next.

Introducers & Referral Partners

For Accountants, Solicitors and Introducers

A good part of our work comes from professional advisers whose clients need funding that sits outside their own remit. Accountants, solicitors, estate and letting agents, IFAs and property professionals refer to us because their clients come back and thank them.

We keep introductions simple: you make the connection, we take it from there, and you stay informed at the level you prefer. Your client relationship stays yours — we are there to arrange the finance, not to sell across it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you only work with businesses in the North West?

No. We are based in Ormskirk and know the Southport, Liverpool, Merseyside, Lancashire and Manchester markets particularly well, but we arrange finance for clients across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Most of the process is handled by phone, video call and email, with site visits where they add value.

What does it cost to speak to you?

The initial conversation and the review of your options cost you nothing. If we take a case forward, we will set out clearly in writing how we are paid — by lender commission, by a broker fee, or both — before you commit to anything.

How quickly can funding be arranged?

It depends entirely on the facility. A merchant cash advance or unsecured loan can complete within days; a bridging loan typically takes two to four weeks; commercial mortgages and development facilities usually run to several weeks because of valuation and legal work. We will give you a realistic timescale at the outset rather than an optimistic one.

What if my circumstances are not straightforward?

That is often when a broker earns their keep. Adverse credit, short trading history, complex company structures, unusual properties and irregular income are all workable with the right lender. Tell us the position honestly and we will tell you frankly whether it is fundable.
